Maybe a little longer, but effectivly only 4 hours. It was enough for this time. I met a customer from the shop at a temple around the Boudhanath stupa – thankfully she was happy with the trekking boots she bought from me – phui! We stayed at the excellent Encounter Hotel in Thamal and early the last day we went up atop to the Swayambhunath stupa at sunrise and enjoyed the view of the valley. Again I wasn’t keen with my camera and I have learned a valuable lesson – bring the camera you know and like. A semiautomatic thing is never a good choice – next time my D70 is coming along!
Anyway – having spent very little time in Kathmandu I realize I have to come back. There is lots more to see, and do. At least I need a coupe of more hours in the bookshop Pilgrim books 🙂

On the airplane photo below you can see Everest to the left and Makalu to the right. This view was from the 45 min flight from Bhadrapur  to Kathmando, Jenny and Bijaya had made sure we were seated on the left side of the plane for a reason!
